I’ve Been Converted!
To Macs, that is.
Mr. olio has always been a Mac man, while I’ve always used PCs. My much-loved Toshiba Satellite is 4 years old—ancient in computer years—and it is starting to act spooky-quirky, so Mr. olio bought me a MacBook Pro. I LOVE IT! It’s really fast and it doesn’t come loaded with a lot of unwanted software. I’ve spent the weekend monkeying around with it and transferring my music and other files.
I used IE before I switched to Firefox, but Mac uses Safari, and I’ve just noticed that olio looks funny in Safari—my wrapper is screwed up and all the apostrophes in my sidebar are, too: Does anyone out there have any advice on how to tweak the code?

I love PCs and I just can't imagine giving them up for a Mac. But I hear the new Macs are quite nice.
Congratulations, Lee! My work machine is a Mac and I love it too.
Try running your site through an XHTML validator. It'll point you to areas in your code that are problematic.
Alternatively, try a new template.
btw, I'm looking at your site in MacSafari right now and it looks fine to me.
Finally! And the site looks fine for me in Safari as well!
Thanks for the advice, mel. I’ll try that. When I started this blog I used Blogger’s green diamond template. My son told me he thought it was ugly, so I bought an HTML book and changed it to what I have now. Granted, it doesn’t look too terribly messed up in Safari, but the main wrapper partially obscures the atoms along the left-hand border, and I really like my pretty atoms!
Hi, Amy! I’ll stop by Facebook to say hi again soon, I promise.
Ned: I felt the same way until I got my hands on this MacBook—it’s great!
